The Euros are just 5 days away, but it’s quite shocking to see the lack of real profiles in terms of data or analysis. Well, I can moan about, but I also can write about it and share my knowledge/insight. In this installment, I will have a look at the data of the Danish attackers and shortly present their data profiles.

For the data, I look into the database of Wyscout and compare the Danish attacker to their peers in their specific league. I will focus on the players that have at least played 600 minutes. One of the attackers, Rikke Marie Madsen — isn’t included in this piece, while the data of the Spanish league is inconsistent and incomplete.

Pernille Harder — Chelsea FC (29)

Pernille Harder is one of the most complete attackers in the WSL and in the world. Bar the assists per 90, she scores in the 70th percentile and higher for every data metric concerned with the attacker’s profile. She scores very high on xG per 90 and in the possession metrics, indicating how strong she is on the ball.

Nadia Nadim — Racing Louisville (34)

What’s interesting about Nadim’s profile is that she is very good at the shooting metrics, where she scores in and around the 80th percentile. What’s remarkable is that she is in the 95th percentile for expected assists per 90 and in the 75th percentile for assists per 90. She is a very goal-oriented attacker, which we can see in her possession stats. They are in the high average, but not as good at shooting and creating metrics.

We have taken her 2021 season, as she had played more than 600 minutes there. In the current season, she doesn’t meet that number yet.

Stine Larsen — BK Häcken (26)

According to the data, Stine Larsen is very much a fox in the box. She doesn’t contribute a lot to dribbles and creation but has a high number of assists per 90. She shoots a lot and generates a lot of xG, but isn’t exactly the best at finishing. She manages to get a lot in the box, looking at her touches there. We can say that she often comes in the right positions, but the execution of her chances, do need to get better.

Signe Bruun — Manchester United (24)

Signe Bruun moved clubs middle in the season and therefore the data seems to be a little distorted. She had a brilliant time at Lyon according to the data and overperformed heavily, but didn’t manage to get a lot done at Manchester United. Overall, she seems to do very well in the shooting metrics and being in the box, doing average on assists, but in all other metrics, she scores very low. Still, for her pure striker’s instinct, she can be of use for Denmark.

Mille Gejl — BK Häcken (22)

In the graph above you can Gejl compared to the midfielders in the Damallsvenskan, as that is where she plays the most: in midfield. We can see that she is doing excellent in the shooting metrics, on average in the creation metrics, and above average in the possession metrics. In terms of being in attacking, Gejl does fantastic in midfield and that can also be of effect in Denmark's attacking ranks during the Euros.
